Vestbase AS has a defined strategy of being the logistical partner of choice
for offshore related activity in Mid-Norway.
This is made possible through its unique location, proximity to important
infrastructure such as city, airport and helicopter terminal, modern
facilities, a strong focus on safety, a large volume capacity as well as safe
and efficient materials management. Further, the proximity of offshore
installations and fields represents a clear advantage.
Vestbase is also an industrial cluster with 60-70 companies
established/represented.
All operators
in the Norwegian sea (AS Norske Shell,
Norsk Hydro ASA, Statoil ASA) outside of Mid-Norway are established at
Vestbase. The platforms Draugen, Heidrun, Åsgard B, Njord, Kristin and the
production vessel Åsgard A are supplied from Vestbase.
